LBD

So a while ago I wrote a blog called Revive your styler 2012. >> Link http://allthelittlethingsinagirlsworld.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/revive-your-style-2012.html

In the blog I mentioned about the "Little Black Dress" LBD... I said that I was in need of such an item in my wardrobe. Well now I have one! I bought this lovely dress from Topshop for £20.00.

I thought the sleeves gave the dress a great finish! It looks great on, the fit is amazing, tight in all the right places and gets looser around the waist, very much the in trend off "skater" dresses at the moment.

How are you guys getting on with reviving your style for 2012??

I also bought this Electric blue vest top, with gold zip detail and racer back. I bought it for a night out with my sister soon :) I plan to wear it with a black tube skirt.

I have also had my Forever21, Boohoo and Newlook orders arrive so I shall get some more blogs done on the other items I have purchased.

No tan Try Nouvatan ... Review!

So I guess your all waiting to hear about my thoughts on the Nouvatan that I have tried recently?!
I thought this tan was great! It's the first "branded" tan I have tried and I love it! It looks so natural. It comes in one shade, but its the perfect colour! I looked like I had been on holiday some where nice and hot!!
The mouse tan costs £16.50. Which I thought was rather reasonable! Not as pricey as St Tropez and certainly not as cheap as St Moriz but its a price that I can be happy with.
Its application is smooth, it doesn't take much at all a pump to do practically all your leg, it glides on and doesn't take a lot of rubbing in, looks streak free, so would be great to use for a top up on a night out.
I Love it. Shall definitely use it again, In fact, I shall be going for a short night out with my sister as a very belated 21st birthday and I shall most certainly be wearing Nouvatan! I shall post some pictures :)

After

Have you tried this tan? What do you think?

St Moriz Review

New Review on the St Moriz Mouse tan

Well, seen as I am now trying a new Tan... which I shall be blogging about soon, as I am rather impressed with my new choice. Before trying any other tan I LOVED St Moriz!.. (I still do and would still use it)

St Moriz, comes in 2 colour choices, just the normal light tan and then dark. I find if your after a pretty "noticeably" tanned appearance then you'll want to use the dark and then top up with the light/normal shade after.

With 1 and half pumps you can do your full arm, and 4 pumps to do your leg. So you don't have to use much of the product at all.

Comparing it too a recent Tan I have tried I have to say that it doesn't quite spread out as well as I had originally thought, Doesn't quite feel as "soft/moist" to spread across the skin.

I find that it doesn't wash off to easy but I can't really compare that to another tan, so I shall, have to mention this on my next tan review for you all.

Well all in all this isn't a bad tan at all! I'd definitely keep one on hand in my beauty essentials to keep!! And who can complain about such a product when the price is less than £5.00!!

Let me know your thoughts on the cheap and tan.

My "GO TO" make up pieces

Here are my "go to" pieces in my make up bag, that I either could not live without and if I want to apply make up but only the basic's! Kind of like the items i'd choose if I ever got stuck on a deserted island!

Everyone needs a make up sponge of some form... mine happens to be a beauty blender!

They are great for applying foundation, and blending concealer! It gives a great finish and if you in a hurry and don't have the time to apply with a foundation brush. It has a "tear" drop shape which makes it great for getting into the eye area etc.

If you have read my blog before you will know that I LOVE Bobbi Brown's foundation... therefore another go to item is my Bobbi Brown moisture Rich foundation...

However if this really was a deserted island situation then I would HAVE to have my Match Perfection concealer by Rimmel. It's fab!.. (Sensing the need to do a blog review)

MAC Bronzing powder, always a great way to add some colour to your face and do some contouring to the cheek bones.

and finally everyone will agree... Eye liner and Mascara are a MUST have item :)

Well they are my must have items! What are yours?

Make up Break Up...

YOUREBELlite

I cant say much about this product other than I wouldn't rate it as a favorite product i've tried, or one that made me go "wow"

The consistency looks quite gloppy but when applying to skin, it seems very watery, and hardly leaves any coverage, leaving the skin very dewy... which in my products I do like but this is almost too dewy.
It doesn't stay on long, you need to apply a powder, but the reason I bought this was so I could wear it around the house, with medium coverage without "caking" make up on... However its a case of applying then re-applying to add coverage!!

I wouldn't buy this again! Definitely not a product that has earned a place in my make up bag!

What are your thoughts of this product??

Bobbi Brown

Product Review on Moisture Rich Foundation SPF 15 Bobbi Brown

This is my favorite foundation of all time! I LOVE it!

Bobbi Brown's Moisture Rich Foundation with SPF 15, in Warm Ivory.
So the first time I tried out this foundation was in a shop before I bought it, and  I instantly loved it! I didn't even look like I had make up on! The colour match was perfect!! Since trying it I have continued using it for over a year now! I just love it!! When on it is a medium coverage, not heavy at all, and leaves a dewy appearance, which I like in foundation, however its not over dewy so that it doesn't look natural.
Price of this product is £28.00 which is a little bit pricey, but not too much that I cringe at the thought of my card been swiped!!

Overall thought LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation! So far I haven't found anything I like as much as this!

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts?

Bake a Cake

For Mother's Day I baked myself, and my Mom a Victoria Sponge Cake, Classic and Simple, yet delicious. Here's how I made it, and what you'll need :)

So you will need:
225g (8oz) Softened butter.. I used Stork which is perfect for baking cakes
225g (8oz) Caster Sugar
4 Large Eggs
225g (8oz) Self - Raising Flour
2 Level teaspoons of Baking powder
The Strawberry or Raspberry Jam for the filling... And some cream if you like!
and then icing sugar for dusting

Preheat the oven at 180c/Fan 160c/Gas 4
So the instructions that I have say that you are meant to put the butter, sugar, eggs, flour and baking powder into the mixing bowl all at once, for the first cake I did do this, but I found just mixing the butter and sugar first makes sure the mixture is smooth for the flour, eggs and baking powder to be adding :)

So Once all the mixture is mixed together, grease a cake tin, preferably round! And pour the mixture in. Put into the preheated oven, and bake for 25minutes or until well risen and the tops of the cake spring back when lightly pressed with a finger.

Once cooked.... Enjoy!

The first cake, didn't quite rise very well as I opened the oven too soon.. oops. So we got creative and halved the cake to make a half moon shape and stuck it on top of the other :) .. Seen as it was just for my Mom and Dad to enjoy they didn't mind as my Mom always bakes on Weekends!!

For my cake my partner Richard cut mine into "mom" which I thought was very cute :) My First Mothers Day Cake :)

Happy Baking

CHANEL Vitalumiere

CHANEL Vitalumiere Review

I got this foundation quite a while ago when I ran out of my all time favorite foundation by Bobbi Brown, Moisture Rich Foundation SPF 15 which I had been using for about a year. However seen as I had run out I thought I might as well try a new one after seen numerous reviews of other products I decided to try the CHANEL Vitalumiere.

So, did I like it? Well, in all honesty it did take me quite a while to decide whether I liked the foundation or not, when I first started using it I thought it was great! I was pregnant at the time, and my skin was therefore a lot better than it normally is without the extra hormones!!

The one most annoying thing when i actually brought the product was the actual buying it as it's sooo expensive! I purchased it from Debenhams It cost me £33.00 and for me to part with this amount of money on just foundation alone was bank breaking - lol!  So that is one massive down point to this foundation... The price

Well I normally like a medium coverage foundation, so during the day if i'm just around the house, i'm not "caked" in make-up. Which when trying this product I had asked for, but after a while of using I would say this is a full coverage foundation, and the colour is now a slightly darker shade I need as I was a bit more tanned when buying it so waiting for summer again before i can continue to use it!!

Other than the coverage being a bit heavier then I prefer the product isn't too bad, definitely worth the price! ££££.

It is very dewy on the skin, which is another thing I like to have with any foundation I wear. It's long lasting, which I would say it would be perfect for an evening at a party or a dinner.

I would recommend it to people, but I would say to try before you buy!!
